A Rare Collector’s Aroid with Velvet Texture & Dark Elegance
Anthurium Crystallinum ‘Black’ is a striking tropical plant known for its dramatic foliage. Unlike the typical Crystallinum, this rare form features deep, nearly black velvet-textured leaves with pronounced silver-white veins and subtle red margins, giving it a unique, high-contrast look prized by collectors.
Native to the rainforests of Central and South America, this aroid thrives in warm, humid conditions and is ideal for indoor plant lovers wanting something bold and beautiful.

☀️ Care Guide
- Light: Bright, filtered light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch leaves.
- Water: Keep soil lightly moist but not soggy. Let the top 2–3cm of soil dry between waterings.
- Humidity: Loves 60–80% humidity. Mist regularly or place near a humidifier.
- Temperature: Prefers 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts or sudden temperature drops.
- Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix (bark, perlite, orchid mix).
- Fertiliser: Feed monthly in spring/summer with a diluted liquid fertiliser.
🔒 Is it fussy?
Surprisingly not as sensitive as some other rare aroids or Alocasias. As long as you provide humidity and don’t overwater, it’s a relatively easy statement plant that rewards you with lush, velvety growth.
