Description
Emperor Mandarin
Emperor is a classic, easy-to-peel mandarin known for its sweet, rich flavour and juicy segments. Fruit is medium to large and slightly flattened, with loose skin that makes it perfect for children and snacking. It typically fruits in winter (July–August) in Australia.
- Standard Emperor Mandarin grows to around 3–4 metres tall.
- Dwarf Emperor Mandarin reaches approximately 1.5–2 metres, making it ideal for pots or small gardens.
Both forms are cold-tolerant and prefer a sunny, well-drained position. Protect young plants from frost.
