Description
Bougainvillea Bambino® 'Majik' is a compact flowering bougainvillea with beautiful soft pink and white bracts set against rich green foliage. Its smaller size makes it particularly useful for courtyards, patios, balconies, pots and smaller garden beds where a traditional large bougainvillea would be too vigorous. The flowers provide a soft, romantic splash of colour while the evergreen foliage gives the plant structure throughout the year in warm climates. Mature height: approximately 1m Mature width: approximately 1m Position: Full sun Flower colour: Soft pink and white Habit: Compact, bushy shrub Bambino 'Majik' is a versatile plant that can be grown as a feature specimen, in a pot, as a low informal hedge or incorporated into a mixed garden bed. It can also be lightly shaped through pruning to maintain a neat, compact form. For the strongest flowering, position it in full sun and use a well-drained soil or quality potting mix. Bougainvilleas naturally flower better when they receive plenty of light, so avoid planting 'Majik' in heavy shade. Water regularly while establishing, then allow the soil to dry slightly between watering. Once established, it has good tolerance of warm and relatively dry conditions. A light prune after flowering helps maintain its compact shape and encourages new growth. Feed during the warmer growing months with a suitable fertiliser to support healthy growth and flowering. Its manageable size makes Bambino 'Majik' especially useful where you want a flowering bougainvillea but don't have room for a large climber. It works beautifully in a favourite pot beside an entrance, around a courtyard or as a colourful feature in a sunny garden bed.
